ROU's
commercial services
The ROU provides technical support services for organics recycling
to commercial manufacturers of recycled organics and to local government.
Areas of specific expertise include:
- Greenhouse accounting, offsets and emissions management;
- Operational procedures and training;
- Production and QA systems (note that the ROU has developed a
template based system to fast track system development and implementation);
- Process evaluation and optimisation;
- Compost facility design and arrangement;
- Decision making support through scientific/technical research
and development;
- Development of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems/ISO 14001
Environmental Management Systems and procedures and associated
mentoring and training services for organics processing facilities;
- Environmental risk assessment studies;
- Development of recycled organics products for specific applications;
- Field trials for performance assessment of recycled organics
products;
- Assessment and/or validation of organics processing technologies;
- Waste auditing and establishment of on-site organics management
systems (including selection of appropriate technology);
- Workshop facilitation;
- Education and training services;
- Research and development;
- Communications resources.

Note that the ROU works both in Australia and internationally.
ROU information resources are used around the globe for both
commercial and community projects, and the contributes significant
pro bono effort to projects to effectively recover
organic materials and to ensure the safe and beneficial use
recycled orgasnics products.
