Introduction
A range of purpose specific bins and containers are available for food organics for collection and subsequent processing either on-site, or otherwise at a centralised facility.

Functional description of the technology (what it does):
On-site, in-vessel, organic waste collection and aeration system, which initiates the composting process whilst effectively managing odour and enabling organic waste to breakdown.
The BiobiN has an external blower unit which pushes air into the bottom of the bin and then sucks air from the top of the bin and circulates it through a condenser, airfilter and biofilter and then back into the bin.
Performance benefits claimed of the technology:
— Enables onsite collection of food waste to be stored for periods from a week to 5 weeks, essentially reducing the need for more frequent food waste collections/ pickups (cost and carbon footprint);
— Effectively manages odour;
— Initiates compost/ enables on site breakdown;
— Provides a solution to what otherwise ends up in general waste;
— Provides an ethical and responsible solution to remote area waste management (ie versus mortality pits, mining site landfills etc).

- 4.5m bin with food waste approx 4 tonne payload.
