MANAGE FOOD WASTE DIRECTORY
General recycling technologies for containers and packaging materials
The Recycled Organics Unit (ROU) has established the Manage
Food Waste Directory, an internet directory of technologies
that may be used to help business to find solutions for separating
and diverting food waste from the waste stream.
This section of the directory lists technologies for businesses
to use on-site for general recycling of associated packaging and
containers.
Note that the technologies listed are for on-site use by food service
enterprises, food processing enterprises and organisations that
house such enterprises (eg. education institutions, hospitals, resorts).
Technologies for use at home use or for centralised recycling facilities
are specifically excluded.
