The Recycled Organics Unit has produced
a Literature Review on the Composting of Composite
Wood Products. This report reviews the feasibility
of processing composite wood products into high
value compost.
The report reviews:
- Issues regarding composting of composite wood
products - feedstock quality, size reduction,
approaches to composting and compost production.
- Health and safety - size reduction and composting
processes.
- Potential uses of the compost and markets.
